Hearthstone’s Fractured In Alterac Expansion Officially Arrives In The Warcraft CCG
Hearthstone and World of Warcraft come together as the Fractured in Alterac expansion officially goes live in the Warcraft online collectible card game. The latest expansion introduces Alterac Valley-themed content, including faction-based gameplay that will require players to pick a side and join forces with the Alliance or the Horde.
“Login now to choose a faction you will fight for in Alterac Valley! When you choose a side, you will instantly receive a Golden copy of that faction’s Legendary leader card! Fight for honor throughout the Fractured in Alterac Valley expansion and you can earn ranks within your faction and prizes, including a Golden copy of the enemy faction’s leader card!”
The expansion also introduces 135 new cards, the new Honorable Kill keyword, the return of Hero Cards, and new spell cards called Objectives. The Rewards Track has also been refreshed with an all new set of unlockable goodies for both the free track and the Tavern Pass track.
“The Rewards Track for Fractured in Alterac Valley will include packs from Fractured in Alterac Valley, Standard packs, Tavern Tickets, a random Epic card, two random Legendary cards, a Vanessa VanCleef Mercenary Card, Horde and Alliance Card Backs, and a lot of Gold. There are also 14 uncraftable Golden cards, including the Legendary minion, Lokholar, the Ice Lord. For finishing the track, you’ll get to choose from one of 10 returning Hero Skins.”
To mark the expansion’s release, Blizzard is giving players a chance to earn rewards and claim ultimate victory for their chosen faction in the Battle for Alterac Valley event. Throughout the expansion, players will be able to earn Honor by playing and winning matches in Ranked, Arena, and Duels. Players will be rewarded with expansion cards as they reach certain Honor milestones starting at 40 Honor points all the way up to 7200. Every player will also get a Diamond copy of the winning faction’s leader card (either Vanndar or Drek’Thar) in a future update.
