Hearthstone Previews Its Next Expansion – Fractured In Alterac Valley
World of Warcraft’s iconic Alterac Valley is coming to Hearthstone in the online CCG’s next expansion – Fractured in Alterac Valley. Blizzard Entertainment has taken the wraps off the upcoming expansion which will feature the new Honorable Kill keyword, 135 new Alterac-themed cards, a new set of Hero cards, and three-turn spells called Objectives.
“The temperature is low, but the tensions are high on this storied battlefield, where the Horde and the Alliance fight for honor and shards of a fallen naaru. The two factions are locked in eternal battle, and have put out a call for new Heroes to help turn the tide. Take key Objectives and secure Honorable Kills to help your faction claim victory! The conflict is inevitable, and you must pick a side. So come, claim your place as a champion among those who are Fractured in Alterac Valley!”
In the spirit of the classic battleground, players will be asked to choose a side when they login starting today. Players who choose to fight for the Alliance will get a free Golden Vanndar Stormpike Legendary card while those who side with the Horde will get a Golden Drek’Thar Legendary card.
“This is a weighty choice that should not be made lightly! After the expansion launches, you will fight for your faction in order to earn prizes and the ultimate honor of your faction’s legendary being a free Diamond card for the set! But don’t fret, part of the post-expansion journey will include you getting a Golden copy of the enemy faction’s leader, too.”
The Fractured in Alterac Valley expansion will kick off the third phase of the Year of the Gryphon which will include a new seasonal event, a Battlegrounds update, and more solo gameplay modes. The expansion is scheduled to launch on December 7th.
