Hearthstone Rolls Out Its Murder At Castle Nathria Expansion

It’s time for Murloc Holmes to don his detective’s cap, grab his magnifying glass, and investigate the Murder at Castle Nathria as the eponymous Hearthstone expansion officially goes live. The expansion introduces 135 new cards to collect and battle with, the new “Location” card type, the new Infuse keyword, 10 new Legendary Suspect cards, and 1 new Iconic Investigator card featuring none other than the amphibious detective himself, Murloc Holmes.
“The Shadowlands is normally where souls go after they die, so when someone dies in the Shadowlands, that’s a special kind of mystery. Sire Denathrius invited 10 of his counterparts and enemies to Castle Nathria for a dinner party so that he could address the malicious rumors that he is hoarding anima, the life-energy that is drained from tortured souls and used to power the Shadowlands. But just after the festivities started, Sire Denathrius was found dead! It seems a gaggle of enemies does not a good dinner party make.”
Locations are all-new card types that represent one of the potential crime scenes or alibis in Castle Nathria. Like minions, Location cards are played onto the board for a set cost and have effects that can be activated on your turn. Each time the effect is used, the card loses durability and will be unusable until the end of the turn or your next turn. Location cards can’t be damaged or destroyed except by specific cards that are able to target them.
Cards with the Infuse keyword, on the other hand, absorbs anima when friendly minions die while the card with the keyword is in your hand. The card is upgraded once the required number of minions die, granting additional effects and bonuses. You can either wait for the card to get Infused or play it right away depending on your strategy.
The full patch notes can be found on the Hearthstone official site.
