Hearthstone Gets New Cards Next Week With The Arrival Of The Onyxia’s Lair Mini-Set
Hearthstone is getting several new Alterac Valley-inspired cards next week with the release of the Onyxia’s Lair mini-set on February 15th as part of Patch 22.4. The mini-set will include 35 new cards that can be acquired from Fractured in Alterac Valley card pack or purchased as a 66-card set for $14.99 or 2000 Gold. An all-Golden version is also available for $69.99 for those who have a little extra cash to burn.
As for the Battle for Alterac Valley event, the Alliance has claimed victory and all players will be receiving a free Diamond copy of Vanndar Stormpike to commemorate the win.
Patch 22.4 will also introduce new Heroes to the Battlegrounds mode, including Varden Dawngrasp, Rokara, and Onyxia herself, along with their respective buddies. New Battlegrounds cosmetic items will also be made available in the cash shop with the update’s release which include two new Battlegrounds board styles and the new Battlegrounds Finishers.
“Battlegrounds Finishers are animations that replace the default Attack animation whenever your Hero wins a round of combat.* Bob’s first Finisher, Astral Impact, is a two-stage Finisher. That means that it shows a special animation whenever your Hero wins a round and then an even bigger animation when you deal 15 or more damage to your enemy! Keep a look out for more cool Battlegrounds Finishers in the future.”
