Heart of Thorns Closed Beta To Start Soon

Guild Wars 2 has announced that closed beta will run for their highly anticipated expansion, Heart of Thorns, on May 26th.   The team at ArenaNet did something quite interesting with their selection process, using an in-game special event to determine the testers.  Quite a clever move, which sets up only the most interested and loyal players to play in the closed beta.  The testing will run for  2 hour blocks with breaks between each block as follows:

• 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)
• 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)
• 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 9:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)
