Guild Wars 2's World Versus World Changes Detailed

As "guilds are the lifeblood of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns," ArenaNet have taken to Guild Wars 2's official blog to detail some of the new World versus World objective claiming changes. In Heart of Thorns, players will be able to upgrade claimed objectives. To do so, players must unlock and craft objective upgrades as a guild. Each objective has three tiers, except Supply Camps, which have two. Guilds will be able to choose two upgrades per tier. For upgrades to take effect, though, guilds will have to hold the objective(s) long enough for that upgrade's tier to be unlocked. Tier I is unlocked after ten minutes, Tier II after thirty minutes, and Tier III after sixty minutes.

These upgrades are broken into the two categories "Tactics" and "Improvements." Tactics are active, powerful temporary effects that have a fifteen to twenty minute cooldown. Tactics can only be activated by authorized guild members unless otherwise specified by an authorized guild member. Conversely, Improvements are powerful passive effects that provide benefits until someone else takes the objective or the Improvement is replaced by a different upgrade.

You can find a full list of upgrades in the blog post linked above.
