ArenaNet will be holding its fourth World vs. World Restructuring beta test next month as outlined in their summer 2022 development roadmap. The next beta test will focus on testing back-end changes and improvements coming to the multi-server PvP game mode, including a new automated internal deployment system.

“We hope to test a new internal deployment system that automates many aspects of executing a World Restructuring beta, including the steps involved in team creation and matchmaking,” says Senior Game Designer Floyd Grubb. “It should simplify the internal process of hosting beta events and make it less prone to human error. This is a big step toward having the feature enabled full time on the live game servers without manual upkeep by our Platform Engineering team.”

The upcoming beta will also deploy a fix for the queue bug and reduce instances that players are placed on the wrong team or guild. Players are advised to select a WvW guild before the 11:59 p.m. deadline on August 11th to ensure that they’re placed in the right one when the beta starts.

Meanwhile, the developers are gearing up for the Festival of the Four Winds annual summer event which will be returning to Tyria on August 1st.
