The Shadow Of The Mad King Returns To Guild Wars 2 For Its Annual Halloween Run

The Shadow of the Mad King is back in Guild Wars 2 right on cue with the usual array of Halloween-themed activities and mini-games for players to partake in both inside and outside the Mad Realm. These include the Mad King’s Labyrinth, the Mad King’s raceway, and the infamous Mad King’s Clock Tower. Lion’s Arch has also been decked out in Halloween decorations for those who want to take in the sights while taking a breather from their jaunts into the Mad Realm.
To get to the Mad King’s Labyrinth, you can use the invitation from Magister Tassi in your in-game. You can also make your way to Lion’s Arch, Tyria’s official Halloween headquarters, where you can take the portal to the Mad Realm. Those without access to Lion’s Arch can also travel to the Mad King’s domain from the villages of Shaemoor in Queensdale, Smokestead in the Plains of Ashford, and Astorea in Calderon Forest, as well as from Snowlord’s Gate in the Wayfarer Foothills and Soren Draa in the Metrica Province.
This year’s Shadow of the Mad King run comes with a bunch of new achievements to complete and new equipment skins to earn, including the Nightmare Splitter Axe, Harvester’s Grin Staff, and the Pale Light’s Companion Torch. You can also exchange Candy Corn earned during the event for a Mini Fluffy Black Cat, a Mini Black Labrador, and other Halloween rewards. Happy haunting!
