Guild Wars 2 Senior Narrative Director Has Left ArenaNet For Bungie
Tom Abernathy, the Senior Narrative Director for Guild Wars 2, has left ArenaNet after five years in the company in pursuit of greener pastures. Associate Narrative Director Bobby Stein will be taking over his position according to Abernathy’s post on Twitter.
“After 5 years in the best job I’ve ever had, it’s time for me to find new challenges,” tweeted Abernathy. “I’ve left ArenaNet. Leading the team Bobby Stein and I built has been the honor and thrill of my career, and I’ll miss them and all our collaborators deeply. I couldn’t be prouder of our work together.”
“Thanks for all you’ve done for us, dude. And for me personally,” replied Stein. “You are a true mentor and you raised the bar in those five years. Wishing you luck and happiness.”
According to Abernathy’s updated LinkedIn profile, he will be taking up the mantle of Senior Narrative Lead just a few minutes away over at Bungie. As for Bobby Stein, he has been with ArenaNet for 16 years and should have no problem taking over Guild Wars 2’s future storylines.
