Guild Wars 2 players rejoice! ArenaNet has heard your pleas and has nixed Valdhertz Crypts from the Wizard’s Vault objectives.

For context, the Wizard’s Vault is a new reward system that was introduced as part of last week’s Secrets of the Obscure expansion. It’s essentially an improved version of the traditional battle pass with non-expiring rewards. That’s all well and good except for the fact that players needed to successfully clear the extremely tedious Valdhertz Crypts mini-dungeon as part of the first rotation of objectives, which they weren’t too happy about.

In response to player feedback, the developers have removed the mini-dungeon from potential daily objectives. Subsequently, they’ve also reset the Wizard’s Vault objectives, giving players a chance to complete them a second time, although they won’t earn a second daily chest for their troubles.

According to the studio, their decision to remove it from the objective pool ties in with their plans to add an extra daily objective to the list. Players will still only be required to complete four objectives per day but they’ll have a larger pool of objectives to choose from. That’s coming in an update set for release on September 12th.
