Guild Wars 2 Previews Upcoming 2v2 PvP Map And ‘Tyrian Gazette’ Fashion Magazine-For-A-Cause
Guild Wars 2 will be getting a new 2v2 PvP map when the fantasy MMORPG's next PvP update rolls out on August 13th. The new map, called Auric Span, is a best of three elimination map that also comes with a gameplay variant that disables healing and stealth skills after two minutes. Area-of-effect damage will also begin to spread through the arena at the two-minute mark. Also, remember the new competitive weapon set that players helped name last month? The new Mist Lord’s weapons will also be introduced with the coming update.
Meanwhile, the GW2 Artist Collective will be publishing a fashion magazine called the Tyrian Gazette which features over one hundred art pieces from 82 contributors. “[. . .] All ads, articles and designs are made in a way to recreate how a magazine might look in the world of Tyria if you were walking the streets today.” The Tyrian Gazette Indiegogo campaign is now live with a $35,000 funding goal. Proceeds from the campaign will be donated to Extra Life. Total pledges as of this writing are now at $57,000.
