ArenaNet has rolled out another round of small fixes for the Soo-Won encounter in this week’s patch in addition to a whole host of bug fixes. Of particular note though are the PvP balance adjustments for several classes with the Necromancer and Revenant getting the lion’s share of nerfs.

The Necromancer’s Death Nova, Rise, Unholy Feast, Well of Corruption, and Well of Suffering abilities have been nerfed to reduce the class’ overall ranged area-of-effect damage and give melee classes more opportunity to push into the fray. The Revenant’s Coalescence of Ruin and Phase Smash have also been nerfed along with the Vindicator elite specialization’s Battle Dance, Saint’s Shield, and Tree Song abilities. The Vindicator’s offensive capabilities, however, have been bumped up to make DPS buils “a bit more threatening.”

In line with the team’s goal of reducing ranged damage, the team has also toned down the damage of the Elementalist’s Fiery Eruption, Firestorm, and Meteor Shower spells, as well as the Guardian’s Symbol of Punishment and Sword of Justice. The Mechanist elite spec’s healing and support skills have also been nerfed to reduce its healing capabilities.

“Mechanist has continued to be a dominant force in PvP, and for this update we've taken a harder look at some of its defensive capabilities,” said ArenaNet.

The Untamed and Specter elite specialization’s Tail Swipe and Shadow Force generation’s efficacy have also been slightly reduced.
