Guild Wars 2 Showcases The Necromancer’s New Gluttonous Sword Skills

Guild Wars 2 has dropped its ninth and final weapon expansion reveal as ArenaNet unveils the sword-toting Necromancer. Armed with his newly acquired sword, the Necromancer will be capable of dealing massive area of effect damage while leaching health from his enemies and healing himself with every attack.
The Necromancer can also increase the power and effectiveness of his sword skills by sacrificing his health to feed his sword. It’s a good thing that there’s plenty of health points to go around thanks to his newfound healing skills.
“Each sword skill has a secondary ability that can be activated by sacrificing health to sate your swords,” ArenaNet explains. “Path of Gluttony can be reactivated to cast Gorge. You leap again, repeating the effects of the first leap while also corrupting boons on enemies struck. Hungering Maelstrom’s reactivation is Gormandize. Gormandize will damage and chill enemies struck by Hungering Maelstrom.”
You’ll be able to take the Necromancer and his new healing swords for a test run during the weapon expansion beta test on November 28th, along with all the other classes and their shiny new weapons.
The big class weapon update is expected to hit the servers in early 2024. In the meantime, ArenaNet joins the rest of the US in celebrating Thanksgiving with its own Black Friday Sales which offers a 50% discount on the End of Dragons expansion and 75% off on Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire until November 28th.
The studio is also running a boosting event if you need to catch up or thinking about rolling a new character. Event details can be found on the Guild Wars 2 official site.
