Guild Wars 2’s Annual New Year Festival Returns To Divinity’s Reach Next Week
Guild Wars 2 is welcoming the Year of the Water Rabbit with the return of the fantasy MMORPG’s Cantha-inspired Lunar New Year Festival. Starting January 22nd, players can once again make their way to The Crown Pavilion in Divinity’s Reach where they can take part in the celebration and earn a permanent account-wide bonus to Magic Find.
“Tyrians are celebrating the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit with fireworks, games, delicious Canthan food, and prizes,” announced ArenaNet. “The Crown Pavilion in Divinity’s Reach will be lit up with traditional Canthan decorations and will be your party hub to usher in the new year.”
During the three-week event, players will get the chance to participate in various seasonal minigames and activities like the agility-focused Celestial Challenge and the dodge ball-like Dragon Ball mode. Participating in the Lunar New Year activities will reward players with Luck that they can use to permanently increase the Magic Find bonus on their accounts.
“Magic find allows you earn higher-quality loot from foes, and bonuses to magic find obtained from luck are permanent and account wide,” said ArenaNet.
