Guild Wars 2 Lunar New Year 2020 Festivities Are Now Live

The annual Lunar New Year celebrations are now in full swing in Guild Wars 2 and Tyrians are flocking to Divinity’s Reach for the festivities. Celebrate the Year of the Metal Rat with food, games, prizes, and of course, fireworks. Invitations have been sent via the in-game mail. Simply double-click the item to instantly teleport to Divinity’s Reach.

“Speak to Phaedra to purchase lucky envelopes, then light fireworks in the Crown Pavilion or sign up for a mount race. Finolla will transport you to the Dragon Ball Arena, and the Celestial Challenge Attendant will send you to earn the favor of the celestial animals. Complete Lunar New Year achievements to earn Fireworks Spaulders, Shining Aureate weapons, and more!”

New and returning Lunar New Year-themed items, including the Celestial Rat Cape, will also be available in the Cash Shop for the duration of the event. 37 new player-designed guild emblems have also been introduced with the latest update.
