Guild Wars 2 Kicks Off Shadow Of The Mad King Event On October 5th With Bonus XP

The time when the barrier between Tyria and the Mad Realm disappears draws near as Guild Wars 2 once again prepares for the return of the Shadow of the Mad King.

“Tyria’s annual Halloween festivities begin next week! From October 5 to November 9, Tyrians can pass through the barrier between our world and the Mad Realm, which is full of Halloween frights to explore, candy to collect, rewards to earn, and nightmares to inspire. Of course, that means the denizens of the Mad Realm can also visit us…”

The event will kick off with a weeklong bonus event where players will get to enjoy 50% additional EXP from all activities, 30% bonus progress to the World vs. World reward track, 30% bonus progress to the PvP reward track, and a 30% increase to magic find. Players who get a character to level 10 during the event will also receive a special weapon that will scale in power until level 80.
