Guild Wars 2 Is Giving Away In-Game Items As Part Of Their Suicide Prevention Campaign
September is Suicide Prevention Month and ArenaNet is doing their part to raise awareness on mental health issues with the “Seize the Awkward” campaign.
“September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and we’ve teamed up with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), The Jed Foundation (JED) and the Ad Council to encourage everyone to reach out to friends who may be struggling with their mental health during these challenging times.”
As part of the campaign, the studio will be giving away a Seize the Awkward in-game t-shirt and a Seize the Awkward Potion for novelty wardrobe. These items can be grabbed for free from the Gem Store from now until September 29th. “Talking about mental health with your friends, guildmates, and loved ones can feel uncomfortable at first,” says ArenaNet, “but the Seize the Awkward campaign offers resources and conversation starters to help you reach out and say the words that really matter.”
