Guild Wars 2 Gets A Surprise PvP Skill Balance Patch For Several Classes

MMO players aren’t exactly thrilled when a developer announces a balance patch for their favorite game because, as Forrest Gump said, “You never know what you’re gonna get.” Players are even less thrilled when it’s a surprise patch that happens to nerf almost all your favorite PvP skills, which is exactly what happened in Guild Wars 2 earlier this week.

ArenaNet rolled out a balance patch that featured significant PvP and World vs. World skill changes to several classes, most of which were nerfs. The affected classes are: the Elementalist, Engineer, Guardian, Necromancer, Revenant, Thief, and Warrior. The PvE skills of the aforementioned classes have been mostly left alone.
