Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons Expansion Trailer Reveal, Game Launching in February 2022
ArenaNet and NCSoft announced today that the third expansion to Guild Wars 2, titled End of Dragons, is launching sometime in February, 2022. Alongside the announcement comes a brand new trailer for the expansion:
While all the new features and content for End of Dragons hasn't been revealed yet, we do know the following:
- New story content
- New Elite Specializations for each of the game's 9 professions
- New personal watercraft called Skiffs
- Fishing is coming to Guild Wars 2
- New set of Masteries
- New legendary weapons
- New Strike Missions + new 'challenge modes' for these missions
- The Siege Turtle, the game's first 2-person mount
- Guild Halls
End of Dragons™ will feature an all-new story set in the mysterious island realm of Cantha, a multi-ethnic land of magic that is home to the oldest nation of humans in all of Tyria. First seen in 2006’s Guild Wars Factions, this lush region dotted by islands and exotic architecture has been closed off and isolated from the rest of the world for over 200 years in the aftermath of The Jade Wind, a magical curse that petrified everything it touched and devastated the southeastern coastal regions. End of Dragons is available for pre-purchase today starting at $29.99 with a Deluxe Edition ($54.99) and an Ultimate Edition ($79.99) available.
The new elite specializations will be available to beta test starting on August 17th this year and continuing in September, October, and November. Anyone can participate in these beta tests for free.
