Dreamside Interactive is paving the way for Frozen Flame’s Early Access launch this fall with the addition of the new Survival game mode. While the game already has survival mechanics in play, the new game mode does away with any story elements and quests to focus entirely on survival, crafting, and building.

“New mode, new rules. No global goals - build, explore, overcome.. and, of course, survive. The icy winds may cut through your ravaged body, but the hand holding the sword shall not tremble! Onwards, to the new adventures!”

The latest game update also expands the prologue, opens up the new Village of the Cursed zonem and adds new quests, NPCs, rough weather conditions, and new equipment, including travel backpacks and torches. Combat has also been updated with blocking mechanics, a revamped stamina system, new evasion moves, and reworked jumping. Arrows are also no longer required to use a bow.

Players can also expect a long list of adjustments, improvements, and fixes, the details of which can be found in the full patch notes on the Frozen Flame Steam page. Dreamside also dropped the game’s first official gameplay trailer during yesterday’s PC Gaming Show. You can check that out right down below.
