Frozen Flame developer Dreamside Interactive is back with another developer update after three months of radio silence. The developers have presumably been reflecting on the game’s troublesome early access launch last November and is now offering insight into what went wrong.

Dreamside attributes the rocky launch to what it describes as a “frenzied” and “sleepless” development pace which caused them to overlook several glaring issues, not the least of which are the lack of public servers and missing content which led to “Mixed” reviews on Steam. While the said issues have since been fixed, it’s too little, too late as far as the reviews are concerned.

The studio, however, is determined to deliver on their vision for the game and has unveiled a new content roadmap that outlines some of the new features and content that players can expect this year and beyond.

Players can expect the next chapter of the campaign mode later this year, along with new enemies, a new boss, new equipment, new game modes, musical instruments, and various improvements in response to player feedback. The studio also teased ongoing work on a new biome that will come complete with a collection of new quests and rewards as well as plans to divide the survival mode into two modes. One mode will feature a more challenging co-op survival experience while the other will focus on PvP.frozen flame july 2023 roadmap
