Final Fantasy XIV Kicks Off New Tales From The Dawn Anniversary Short Story Series

Final Fantasy XIV has grown another year older today. And as is tradition, Square Enix has published a new short story series that will tug at your heartstrings to mark the now nine-year-old MMORPG’s anniversary.

The new short story series is titled Tales from the Dawn and revolves around the lore and some of the major characters in the Endwalker expansion. The series kicks off with a story about The Watcher, the origin of Hydaelyn, the powerful crystal entity that created the game world, and the sacrifice that it took to bring her to life.

Spoiler warning! If you’ve yet to finish the Endwalker storyline and Patch 6.15, you might want to hold off on reading the story. For those who have, the story will offer more insight and backstory into Endwalker’s content.
