Square Enix Announces Final Fantasy XIV Tabletop RPG Coming In May 2024

Heads up Final Fantasy XIV fans! If you’ve been wishing for a tabletop version of the popular MMORPG, Square Enix will be granting your wish as part of A Real Reborn’s 10th anniversary. While it’s going to take a while before you can get your hands on the game, it’s now available for pre-order if you’re interested.

“Step into the shoes of a heroic adventurer or assume the gamemaster's mantle, then cooperate to forge your own unique stories within the vast and exciting universe of Final Fantasy XIV,” Square Enix announced. “Gather your friends together to explore, battle, and roleplay--the only limits are your imagination and the only goal is to have fun.”

The FFXIV Starter Set will come bundled with everything you’ll need to get a tabletop game started, including a rulebook, a gamemaster book, pre-made character sheets, character tokens, an encounter map, ability markers, a summary of the rules, and a set of custom dice (ten d6 and six d20). Square Enix will also be releasing standalone player books following the tabletop RPG’s official launch in May 2024.
