Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.45 Adds Anima Quests And Doubles The Size Of The Palace Of The Dead

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.45 has gone live, bringing with it a new set of anima weapon quests. The new anima weapon quests will give players a chance to improve their anima weapons, increasing their strength. It is noted, however, that it may not be a straightforward process; Square Enix recommends that you "consult and exchange information with other players as you progress to learn how these weapons are enhanced." Furthermore, players will be required to use the class that they start certain anima weapon quests with for the entirety of said quests.
The update also adds a significant amount of content to the Palace of the Dead, bringing the total number of floors up to over 110. Only the first 100 floors are necessary to experience the full story of the Palace of the Dead, but additional floors have been added to allow players to challenge themselves, should they be so inclined. Furthermore, from this patch on, players that have cleared floor 50 will be able to start new saves from floor 51 with a level 60 character that has an inventory that is free of pomanders.
You can find the full set of patch notes here. The update also adds new "Far Eastern" attire to the Mog Station, the details about which you can find here.
