Final Fantasy XIV has released a new promotion campaign for its upcoming expansion, Heavensward. The campaign features virtual Chocobo Races that are fueled by... tweets. Players sign up on the official website on specified dates that you sign up for. You can then create your own Chocobo and link your twitter account. On the day of the race, the app automatically sends a tweet out to your followers, and any re-tweets or replies increase the speed of your Chocobo!
Players can win some fantastic prizes from this, with a grand prize being a custom FFXIV MSI GS60 Ghost Gaming Laptop (worth about 1.8k USD somehow).
