Final Fantasy XIV Announces the Details for its 4th Anniversary Event - The Rising

It's that time of the year again! Time for carolers to go door-to-door, time for people to enjoy the gift of giving. Snow covers the ground and- wait, I'm thinking of the wrong time of the year.

Final Fantasy XIV has had quite a magnificent death and rebirth, having first failed in its initial release. In 2014, one year after FFXIV went live under the title "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn," the game saw its very first Rising event, an anniveresary event that looked back upon the game's fall and rise.

Now, the game prepares to celebrate its 4th Anniversary - something the Development Team probably never thought would be possible when they were managing FFXIV 1.0 while simultaneously developing A Realm Reborn. This year's Rising rewards include two minions of characters that played an important part in the Stormblood story, two orchestrion rolls of the songs "Stormblood" and "Answers - Reprise," a housing item, and magicked prisms which can make a flower effect around your character.

And, as with every Rising event, there will be a story involving the Director/Producer of Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida - featuring his Lalafell character, and the "Wandering Minstrel," who acts as a fill-in for Yoshida in the world of Eorzea.

The Rising event will run from August 26th, until September 14th, starting and ending at 8 AM Pacific Time. Here's to another four years!
