FFXIV Previews "Lord of Verminion"

Square Enix's Flagship MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has recently released a preview for the Manderville Gold Saucer's latest attraction— Lord of Verminion. The game is a parody of their popular online game Lord of Vermilion which exists in arcades and runs on PCs across Japan. The game is MOBA-like where players construct teams with cards to attack enemy positions and fortify their own.

Lord of Verminion however, utilizes summoned minions within FFXIV and players are tasked with destroying Arcana Stones throughout the map. The game is then played either against AI or against other players and even features in-game tournaments that can be won for massive Manderville Gold Point payouts.

The minions each have varying stats and have a Pokemon-like weakness/strength system with the typing of the minion.
