Heads up Fallout fans, Amazon has confirmed a premiere date for its TV adaptation of the popular post-apocalyptic video game franchise. The highly awaited Fallout TV series will finally be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime starting on April 12th, 2024, nearly four years after it was first announced.

“Set in the future post-apocalyptic Los Angeles and world of Fallout, the series is an original story based on Fallout that will be part of the canon of the games,” reads the official press release. “The series comes from Kilter Films and executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld. It will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.”

The TV show will star Yellowjacket’s Ella Purnell and The Hateful Eight’s Walton Goggins as the lead characters, alongside Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and Sarita Choudhury.

It’s still unclear how many episodes there’ll be in a season or whether Amazon will be releasing new episodes regularly or dropping the entire series, or at least part of it in bulk. Considering how streaming platforms operate, it’s probably the latter. In any case, April is still a few months away and we’ll likely be getting more information out of Amazon by then.
