Destiny: The Taken King Breaks Day-One Record On PlayStation
We already knew that Bungie's totally-not-an-MMO, Destiny, was popular. They sold over 6.3 million copies in the first month and crossed $1 billion in revenues after only three days on the market, after all. The expansion, The Taken King, takes it a bit further. Activision announced today via press release that The Taken King broke all records previously in place. It is now the most-downloaded on day one game in all of PlayStation history. Peak user concurrency was also set by the PlayStation versions on launch day.

Unfortunately, no exact figures were given. The press release also does not mention which PlayStation version set these records, an important detail, given that each version of the game is isolated from the rest.
