Activision And Bungie Officially Announce Destiny 2

Destiny 2 has officially been confirmed by Activision and Bungie. We were already pretty sure that this was happening, but the extremely vague image embedded below featuring naught but a logo and what appears to be a moon orbiting a planet that the "2" in Destiny 2 is sitting on was published to the official Destiny Twitter account earlier today, all but confirming what we already knew.

The past week has also brought with it a number of rumors about the upcoming sequel to the blockbuster hit pseudo-MMO. The following poster, which clearly states a September 8th release date, is believed to have been posted to the internet by an Italian retailer. The image also seems to state that PlayStation 4 users will be getting access to an upcoming Beta before anyone else.
If this is real -it seems PS getting Destiny 2 exclusive Beta access first (unsurprising) pic.twitter.com/FTgdN8YLOE

Additionally, various leaks like the ones embedded below are fueling rumors that the game will be on PC.

As all Activision and Bungie have given us thus far is a single image, we don't yet know whether the game will, in fact, be on PC or whether it will, in fact, be launching in September. We will be sure to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
Thanks to Dest for the tip.
