Claim Rising Flames Episode For Free This Week On Guild Wars 2, Week-Long PvP Tournamend Underway
The Guild Wars 2 End of Dragons expansion may have been delayed by a couple of months but that’s not stopping ArenaNet from continuing to give away free Living World episodes to help players catch up to the game’s current storyline, and hopefully reel in new players ahead of the expansion’s release.
Unlike the Season 2 rerun, ArenaNet seems to have settled on one free episode per week for Season 3. This week’s free episode is Rising Flames, which originally came out in 2016, sending players to the Ring of Fire Islands to investigate the growing threats to Tyria.
“Legate Minister Caudecus has escaped, the ancient mursaat Lazarus the Dire has risen, and the Elder Dragon Primordus stirs under Tyria’s feet. Travel to the deadly Ring of Fire Islands and learn what you can leverage against the growing threats.”
Rising Flames is free from now until July 11 and can be claimed from the in-game mailbox or purchased for 0 gems via the Story Journal tab.
Meanwhile, the devs are also running a PvP tournament this week which will culminate in the Tournament of Legends on Sunday, July 11 at 11am PT.
“Get ready for a week of martial mayhem! During the PvP Tournament Week each day will feature eight additional automated daily tournaments of a different format, offset from regular Conquest tournaments. Gather your trusty crew and sign-up to play from the tournaments panel in the PvP menu. The Greater Call of the Mists effect will be active during the event, so it’s a great opportunity to earn extra rewards for playing.”
