Caliban Prime Coming to Warframe on August 26

Digital Extremes has locked in August 26 for the arrival of Caliban Prime, the latest “Prime Access” addition to its long-running free-to-play looter shooter Warframe. First shown during July’s TennoCon demo for the upcoming The Old Peace story arc, this enhanced frame lands simultaneously on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch.

  • Frame upgrade: Caliban Prime boosts energy, shields, and comes with an extra Attack Polarity slot for more flexible modding.
  • Ability toolkit: A mobility spin attack, ground-slam crowd control, deployable Sentient allies (Conculyst, Ortholyst, Summulyst), and a triple-beam energy blast combine to emphasize adaptable brawling and support.
  • Signature gear: Venato Prime scythe returns with improved stats, while the new Vadarya Prime sniper rifle debuts straight from Orokin archives.
  • Cosmetics in the bundle: Neurovyre Prime Syandana, Tauron Prime Regalia for Operator/Drifter, two Caliban Prime glyphs, plus 90-day Affinity and Resource boosters.
  • Earn vs. buy: As usual, players can farm Void Relics for the blueprints and craft Caliban Prime for free, or purchase tiered Prime Access packs for instant unlocks.
  • Fresh TennoGen items: Community-designed skins and accessories drop in the in-game Market alongside the update, giving fashion-frame aficionados more mix-and-match options.

Caliban originally entered the game in late 2021 as a fusion of Orokin engineering and Sentient bio-tech, created by the antagonist Erra to counter the Tenno. His Prime variant keeps the lore intact while offering the stat bumps veteran players look for when min-maxing endgame builds.

The update lands two to three months before The Old Peace is expected to launch. If you’re planning to farm, expect Caliban Prime’s relics to replace the oldest Prime parts in the rotation the moment the patch goes live.
