Borderlands Meets Diablo In Upcoming Isometric Co-op ARPG Space Punks

Borderlands meets Guardians of the Galaxy meets Diablo in Space Punks, an upcoming isometric co-op ARPG from Flying Wild Hog, the creators of the Shadow Warrior series and upcoming 2D samurai game Trek to Yomi. The game is being published by Jagex Partners, Jagex’ publishing arm, and is the company’s first-ever third-party game release.

“Space Punks features crazy, over-the-top action in a unique, irreverent sci-fi setting. Players are given the chance to blast their way to fame, glory and wealth by taking on lucrative contracts on far-flung planets against impossible odds.”

The game features top-down loot-shooter gameplay and four unique and wacky playable characters, including a Star Lord-esque group leader, a crazy dual blaster-wielding warthog, a smart alien creature reminiscent of the worm guys in Men in Black, and a snobbish space chick.

Space Punks will be launching into Early Access on July 14 with an open beta release planned for later this winter. Console players can expect to see the game sometime in 2022.
