Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Sets October Release, Opens Mobile Pre-Registration

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, a mobile-ready version of the anime MMORPG that debuted and shut down on PC last year, is gearing up for a worldwide launch in October. Starting August 22, players on Android and iOS can pre-register for access, while PC users can add the game to their wishlists on Steam or the Epic Games Store. A closed beta will kick off the same day, letting early adopters stress-test the servers and offer feedback.

While the PC and console version of Blue Protocol which was developed by Bandai Namco was discontinued, Star Resonance from Tencent lives on. Star Resonance carries over the same look and feel but includes a streamlined interface designed for touchscreens. Cross-play and shared servers mean mobile and PC players will adventure together in the world of Regnus.

Main details at a glance:

  • Mobile pre-registration opens August 22 on Android and iOS.
  • Closed beta begins the same day, with additional code waves planned as server capacity allows.
  • Full launch on all supported platforms is slated for October 2025.
  • PC players can wishlist the game now on Steam, Epic Games Store and the official site.
  • A hands-on demo will be playable at Anime NYC (Aug 22-24) at Booth 1B-331, alongside photo ops and merchandise giveaways.
