Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios has dropped a new dev blog that offers information on the upcoming D&D RPG’s multiplayer features. The blog confirms the inclusion of a split-screen couch co-op multiplayer option, in addition to the existing online co-op, a very welcome addition to those who like hosting offline multiplayer parties.

The dev team also delved into various aspects of multiplayer, including the ability to join a party right from the character creation screen. Players can also join a party as they usually would in an ongoing game. Players will also have the option to share or lock character inventories and share inspiration points that can be used in skill check rerolls.

The blog also shared information about other gameplay elements such as NPC romance with options to hide romance scenes and nudity, hirelings, a villain known as Orin the Red, customization options, multi-classing, and a respec feature.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is scheduled to launch on PC on August 3rd and on PlayStation 5 on September 6th. In the meantime, you can read up on the game’s multiplayer features and gameplay on the Baldur’s Gate 3 Steam page.
