Guild Wars 2 Fan Releases A Casual Treasure Hunting Game Called Artifact Krewe

If you’re a Guild Wars 2 player who’d rather explore the wide world of Tyria without mobs to interrupt your leisurely stroll, then Artifact Krewe might just be your cup of tea. The fan-made game is a pet project of indie developer Skrool and drops players into the shoes of an Asura on a quest to find hidden treasure chests and a mysterious laboratory.

The game is set in a less gloomy and lower-poly version of the fantasy MMORPG’s game world that players will get to explore as they solve platformer puzzles, interact with NPCs, and scan for hidden chests scattered across the map. What’s great about the game is that it’s totally free and is perfect for casual players or those who want to take a quick break from bashing monster heads in the official game.

It’s not exactly an MMO, or even a multiplayer game for that matter, so this is probably the last time that we’ll be covering it... unless it gets some type of multiplayer feature in the future. You can check out the official game trailer below for a sneak peek at what the game has to offer.
