The Weekly Raid: Do You Stick To One MMO?

What is the glue that gets a player hooked on an MMO? If you head over to Reddit's r/MMORPG you'll find a mixed bag of answers, ranging from dynamic combat situations to gripping narrative. Everyone's looking for something, and no one seems to be finding it.

I  hop. Instead of getting an entree I order MMO appetizers, a dabble of this, a nibble of that; I never find a home I can be comfortable in on my own. But I want to.

Because when I do fully experience an MMORPG it becomes my life in another world. I won't play anything else because I'm completely infatuated by the game. Last game I delved that deep into was Final Fantasy XIV. All I could think about while unloading UPS trucks was how I could have been mining and leveling up crafting skills, and how my guildies were getting ahead. I hope those days come around again and I can stick to one MMO.

From Mega Man II to Ape Escape, I've been playing games for as long as I can remember. I've spent months killing porings in Ragnarok Online and more recently lived a second life in Eve Online. I usually play as gUMBY, gUMBLEoni, or gUMBLes in-game.
