The Weekly Raid: Why Do You Collect Steam Games?

It's the Steam sale again, the time when players spend money on games they never install. I add games to my library like animal-heads stuffed with the ashes of my money.
The Summer Sale runs until July 04, 2016 and I haven't been buying games, because I already own most of the games I want. But have I played them since the last sale? Nope.
What is it that causes me to buy games and never play them? When I was a kid and rented horrible, appalling, Sega Genesis games from Hollywood Video I always made sure to play. No matter how awful and frustrating the game was. I can't even be bothered to play highly recommended games now. I'm a gaming philtaelist, collecting titles but never sending them to be installed. I look at them with a smug sense of satisfaction, with 0.0 hours next.
