NA LCS Recap and Standings

The NA LCS Summer Playoffs have progressed to the Semifinals. This was a truly exciting round with the storied TSM and CLG rivalry rematch and a thrilling match between Immortals and Cloud9. The first match was Immortals and Cloud9. This one was truly close going the distance to five games out of five. Despite dominating for most of the split, Immortals fell to Cloud9 with much credit to Cloud9's top laner, Impact. Looking like the former World Champion that he is, Impact dismantled Huni—whom Immortals depend on to carry.

On the other side of the bracket, TSM stayed true to their regular season form and took a dominating 3-0 victory. With such a performance, Cloud9 has their work cut out for them in the Finals next week.

Finals/Third Place Preview

The Finals of the NA LCS takes place in the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. There, the Third Place Match between Immortals and Counter Logic Gaming will take place. The next day, TSM and Cloud9 face off in the Summer Split Finals. While TSM is definitely the favorite, Cloud9 has shown incredible growth and is in position for an upset.

EU LCS Recap and Standings

Because of the delayed match from last week, the last Quarterfinal match took place on Tuesday where H2k dominated Fnatic by sweeping them 3-0.

In the semifinals of the EU LCS Playoffs, G2 Esports won 3-1 in a compelling victory. In the other half of the semifinals League fans were treated to yet another thrilling game as Splyce narrowly beat H2k 3-2.

Semifinals Preview

The finals of the EU LCS Summer Split take place in the TAURON Arena Kraków in Poland. The third place match is between H2k and the Unicorns of Love. The next day, the top two seeds of the regular split, G2 Esports and Splyce, faced each other for the first seed for Worlds.

LCK Recap and Standings

The Finals between KT Rolster and the ROX Tigers was a thrilling game that went the distance. These two teams were razor close; the entire series was decided by a few hit points on Baron. Fortunately for the Tigers, Smeb was the hero as the World Finalists finally won something with their first trophy. The amount of emotion for winning the LCK finals was tangible, as the band of brothers erupted after their victory.

The ROX Tigers weren't the only team celebrating as SKTelecom T1 clinched their qualification to Worlds as Korea's second seed due to their Championship Points from last split. This is historic for League of Legends as no World Championship team has ever won and qualified for the tournament the following year. SKT is back to defend their throne and the ROX Tigers have definitively shown they are worthy challengers.

LPL Recap and Standings

The Third Place match was the only series this week. I MAY faced Team World Elite in a best-of-five for the chance to qualify for Worlds. Despite dropping a game, I MAY took the victory 3-1 to take third place in this split.
