The eighth week of the NA LCS has finished!
Day 1:
Day 2:
Day 3:
In the eighth week of the NA LCS, the biggest story is the biggest upset where Phoenix1, ninth place and the only team to lose to Echo Fox, was able to beat TSM 2-1. While TSM's record is still stellar, the team now has the same win-loss score as Immortals and could potentially lose their first place standing in their epic battle next week. With only one more week until the regular season comes to a close, teams such as Apex could still qualify for the playoffs.
| Week 8 Standings
1. TSM (15W-1L) (Game Record: 31-5) 2. Immortals (15W-1L) (Game Record: 31-7) 3. Cloud9 (10W-6L) (Game Record: 24-16) 4. Counter Logic Gaming (9W-7L) (Game Record: 22-18) 5. Week 9 Preview
This is the matchup the world has been waiting for: Immortals versus TSM. With an identical 15W-1L record, this game alone will decide who takes the first seed for the playoffs. While second seed sounds pretty good as well, getting the first seed will guarantee matches against the lowest seeded teams which considerably increases the chance to go further in the tournament.

Unlike the NA LCS, the EU LCS uses best of twos which leads to a point system. A 2-0 win gives 3 points. A tie gives 1 point per team. A loss gives no points.
Here's how the matches went in week eight:

History was made this week in Korea as the Afreeca Freecs became the first team to beat SKTelecom T1 twice in a split.
