The seventh week of the NA LCS has finished!

In the seventh week of the NA LCS, TSM and Immortals demonstrated the gap between them and the rest of the league. Behind them, Team Liquid, Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming, and Team Envy are fighting for the highest seed possible as they are all one win or loss away from each other.

Week 8 Preview
Next week will be the time for Cloud9, CLG, Liquid, and Envy to step up. The important matches are CLG vs Liquid and Team Envy vs Cloud9.

Unlike the NA LCS, the EU LCS uses best of twos which leads to a point system. A 2-0 win gives 3 points. A tie gives 1 point per team. A loss gives no points.

The seventh week of the EU LCS was similar to last week in that both G2 and Fnatic got a win and a tie which did not impact the standings. The biggest winners of this week are Vitality and Unicorns who were able to move up while FC Schalke 04 went down with two ties.

Week 8 Preview
The series to watch will be Fnatic vs Splyce, who are both fighting for the first place spot. As both are strong teams, this series will be telling of who the top two seeds before the finals will be.

The top two teams in Korea and most likely the world are the two World Finalists, SKTelecom T1 and ROX Tigers. In this eighth week of the LCK, it was the ROX Tigers that showed dominance with their sweep of KT Rolster and Samsung Galaxy, the two other teams vying to get in the top two. SKT only had one game but looked in form as well.

In week 9, the series to watch is Samsung Galaxy vs SKTelecom T1. This match will determine the second seed and both teams will be playing their absolute best to win.

ELEAGUE, organized by Turner Sports and WME/IMG, is a new premier CS:GO tournament that features an outstanding $1,200,00 prize pool. The tournament will be broadcast on TBS, running from May 24th to July 30th.
This week was the Last Chance Bracket. Eight teams who placed second in their groups played for two spots in the Playoffs. The first spot went to Virtus.pro who swept Gambit Gaming and Renegades 2-0. The second spot was awarded to mousesports after 2-1 victories over G2 Esports and FaZe Clan.

The Summit 5, run by Beyond the Summit, is a premier tournament located in Los Angeles with a $100,000 USD prize pool. Eight different teams from around the world competed for the top prize from July 13-17th.


Organized by ProDotA, Global Grand Masters Season 1 features four invited top tier teams and four qualified up and coming teams playing for a $50,000 prize pool. The tournament features a double elimination bracket with best-of-three matches and a best-of-five final.

So far, Alliance has proven dominant by sweeping FlipSid3 Tactics and Vega Squadron to qualify for the Winner's Finals. Team Empire and Team Liquid are to play to see who will meet Alliance there.

Organized by Beyond The Summit, the BTS Overwatch Cup has a prize pool of $10,000 and will run from July 9 to August 7. Each week, two teams qualify for the Playoffs which are in a double elimination format.
Week 1 has ended with Team EnVyUs sweeping Cloud9 3-0 and Code7 beating Cloud9 3-1. Both Team EnVyUs and Code7 will qualify for the main playoffs.
There were no further games this week. Stay tuned for week 2's results.

Beat Gaming has started on June 27th with the top eight teams competing for $7,500 USD in their inaugural tournament. The format involves a Group Stage and a double elimination playoff.
In the group stage, Team EnVyUs swept their group 2-0 with Northern Gaming Red behind them at 2-1. In Group B, Cloud9 also swept their group 2-0 with Gale Force eSports behind them at 2-1.
The Playoffs have begun with Team EnVyUs continuing to dominate, beating Rogue 3-0 in the Quarterfinals, NG Red 3-1 in the Semifinals, Code7 3-0 in the Winners' Finals, and Code7 once again 4-0 in the Grand Finals. With this dominating performance, little doubt is left that Team EnVyUs is the best Overwatch team in the world right now.
