EU LCS Recap and Standings

Week 9 was the last week of the regular season and marks the last time we will have best of ones in the LCS. Despite the close standings all split there were no tiebreakers needed. With H2k's loss to Unicorns of Love, G2 Esports finished first place in the EU LCS. Furthermore, Team Vitality suffered a tragic upset to ROCCAT which removed their chance to get first or second. Fnatic also had tough losses this week that dropped them from potentially being fourth to sixth place. Given how close these teams were to each other, the standings should have little bearing on who will take the Spring Split Championship.

MVP Phoenix win Dota Pit League Season 4 LAN Finals

MVP Phoenix

MVP Phoenix beat Evil Geniuses 3-0 in the Grand Finals to become the champions of Dota Pit League Season 4 and win $97,407.

Here is how the tournament played out:

In the Grand Finals, Evil Geniuses took an early lead but could not handle MVP's teamfight and lost the first game. The second game was similar: a strong early game by EG but MP's Juggernaut and QO's Outworld Devourer were able to take the game off of a single teamfight. The final game was a complete stomp ending in just over 30 minutes, giving the Korean team their first international tournament win. Along with strong victories over OG and compLexity, MVP's performance last week was the strongest Korean team finish in Dota 2 history. With a history of eSports domination, one has to wonder if Koreans are on the path to be the best in Dota 2 as well.
