Zenless Zone Zero Launching Globally on July 4th

HoYoverse announced today that their newest game, Zenless Zone Zero, is launching globally on July 4th on PC, Mobile, and PlayStation 5. The game was first revealed in 2022 and over the years has amassed 35 million global pre-registrations. Hype for the game is to be expected, as it's developed by the same company behind Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, two big hits.

Zenless Zone Zero bills itself as an 'urban fantasy ARPG' and focuses more on skillful action oriented combat, similar to Genshin Impact. Like other HoYoverse titles, storytelling is a big part of the game and features a colorful cast of characters (many of which can only be obtained via Gacha elements).

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where supernatural disasters called "Hollows" have destroyed modern society. However, New Eridu, the last remaining city, has risen against the odds during this devastating catastrophe and has become the last remnant of contemporary civilization. In the story, players assume the role of a "Proxy" who guides adventurers in the unpredictable Hollows. Together with unique characters encountered along the way, players will explore Hollows, face enemies, complete commissions, and unravel the mysteries behind New Eridu.
