World Of Warcraft Previews The Venthyr Covenant, The Vampire Rulers Of Revendreth

Blizzard Entertainment treats fans to a preview of one of the Covenants that will be coming to World of Warcraft when the Shadowlands expansion launches later this year. The preview, probably the first of four, shines the spotlight on the Venthyr Covenant and the Revendreth realm.

“In Shadowlands, Azeroth’s heroes journey into the realm of the dead after Sylvanas Windrunner tears open the veil between life and death. As they explore four otherworldly zones—Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, and Revendreth—players will meet the Covenants that rule the afterlife realms in the Shadowlands. Your final destination in the narrative arc is the shadowy realm of Revendreth.”

The realm of Revendreth is made up of seven districts. Each district is ruled by a powerful Venthyr called a Harvester. The Venthyr are vampires entrusted with the task of punishing the unworthy and serve as instruments of repentance for sinful souls. Reformed souls are then given a choice to go on to the afterlife or remain in the realm and become one of the Venthyr.

Choose the Venthyr as your Covenant and you’ll gain access to a new class-specific ability as well as the faction’s Signature Ability, Door of Shadows. This ability lets you travel through shadows and appear at a target location.
