World Of Warcraft Might Be Going Full Circle In The Shadowlands Finale

For those who haven’t been following the World of Warcraft storyline, the MMORPG’s narrative now revolves around the player’s journey through the Shadowlands and their impending fight against Zovaal the Jailer, yet another powerful being hell-bent on destroying the world and remaking it according to his design.

A promotional email from Blizzard Entertainment, however, suggests that Azeroth, the realm where most of Warcraft’s lore takes place, might be taking center stage once again in the Shadowlands finale - Eternity’s End. For those who need a refresher on Warcraft lore, Azeroth also happens to be the name of the Titan sleeping within the planet’s core. And with many of Azeroth’s greatest heroes off fighting in the Shadowlands, the slumbering Titan herself might be in an especially vulnerable position.

“Journey beyond the Afterlife to the realm of the First Ones, unearth ancient secrets, and protect the sacred place in the upcoming finale of Shadowlands: Eternity's End.

Descend into the all-new raid zone—the Sepulcher of the First Ones—to thwart the Jailer and his forces before he disrupts the balance of the cosmos. With the help of Automa, decode the Cypher of the First Ones to unlock the secrets of Zereth Mortis and the long-gone Progenitors. New allies, new class armor sets, and scores of new content await you in the Afterlife in the next update. Prepare to face your destiny in Eternity's End—the soul of Azeroth depends on it!”

A release date has yet to be announced for Patch 9.2: Eternity’s End, but it’s probably safe to say that we might be seeing it sometime in early 2022.
