World Of Warcraft Game-Time Purchases Now Limited To 60 Days
Blizzard Entertainment has just made changes to the amount of game time that players can purchase for World of Warcraft. Players previously had several options when purchasing game time: 30, 90, and 180 days. As of today, the only option available is 60 days of game time for $29.99.
“We recently conducted a review on the available services in all currencies. Based on this, we have decided to alter the available game time options in the Blizzard Shop,” explained the company.
The changes do not affect subscriptions which still offers varying subscription lengths. Players will also still be able to purchase 30-day game time using WoW Tokens.
Unsurprisingly, the community is in uproar over the sudden changes and have voiced their complaints on the official forums and on Reddit.
“This really doesn’t sit well, just a blatant money gouging tactic,” wrote one player. “Why should we magically be forced to commit to 2 months at a time if we chose not to go the route of an active sub? Not to mention the higher 90, 180 day game time options were purchasable at discounted rates for those willing to commit for longer periods of time.”
“Ah. I see you have gone with the tactic of trying to take more money from people for no good reason. Good job blizzard. You’re still failing,” said another player.
