World Of Warcraft Previews Dragonflight’s New Forbidden Reach Zone

With Phase 2 of the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight alpha test underway, Blizzard is now offering non-testers a preview of the new zone that’s currently in testing – the Forbidden Reach. According to lore, the Forbidden Reach once served as a secret training ground created by Neltharion for the ultimate soldiers, the Drachtyr. The deserted island has lain broken and dormant for ages following the events of a massive battle… until now.
“Deep beneath the surface, vast underground chambers contain legions of dracthyr, resting in magical stasis for thousands of years. As an ancient, magical surge ripples through the Forbidden Reach, the dracthyr are waking from their long slumber,” recounts Blizzard. “In this place of ancient power, dracthyr Evokers will begin a journey that will lead them further into the mysteries of their past.”
While the Drachtyr slept underground, nature had proceeded to reclaim the Forbidden Reach and is now home to a variety of wildlife. Players will get to encounter these creatures and face off against the challenges the ancient island has to offer when they begin their journey as one of the legendary dragon warriors with the official launch of Dragonflight this December.
