WildStar Launches on Steam

At last, WildStar, the NCSoft-published game that was predicted to be shut down by the end of the year, has made it to Steam. As of right now, there is a wildly impressive Steam-based population of four, but as the title just launched, I imagine many are still discovering that it is actually out on Steam and downloading it as I write this.

In preparation for the launch, Carbine Studios introduced an "IP verification" feature that requires players to verify their IP address via account management. From now on, in order to play the game, you must have your IP address on record.

Several new Steam-exclusive bundles containing "Signature time, some cosmetics, pets, mounts—you name it" have been made available alongside the Steam launch. They are $19.99, $49.99, and $99.99, respectively.

Will you be trying WildStar again now that it's on Steam?

Update: Less than 6 hours after launch, concurrent users has exceeded 1,000. Here's to hoping the game finds success on Steam.
