Warhaven Is Sunsetting In April, Just Six Months After Its Steam Early Access Launch

Nexon has announced that it will be shutting down Warhaven after two pre-seasons and just six months after the medieval PvP warfare game launched into early access.

Unfortunately, despite Nexon’s best efforts to address bugs and balance issues, it looks like the game is no longer sustainable and the studio has decided to throw in the towel and will be pulling the plug on April 5th. Microtransactions have now been disabled, although there’s no word on whether the studio will be issuing refunds.

While the announcement comes as a surprise, it wasn’t entirely unexpected. Nexon didn’t give a reason for the game’s closure but it’s probably safe to say that it had a lot to do with its rapidly dwindling playerbase.

Warhaven’s concurrency numbers have been on a steep decline since its all-time peak of 10,456 concurrent players on launch day with its peak daily concurrency now down to the low hundreds.
