V Rising Sells Over A Million Copies In Its First Week On Steam Early Access
The gaming community is out for blood, virtually that is, as Stunlock Studio’s newly-released vampire MMORPG hits another milestone. Last week, the studio announced that V Rising had sold over 500,000 copies in just three days, now it’s sold over a million copies a week after launching on Steam Early Access, closely mimicking Valheim’s meteoric rise to fame.

The game’s main difference from Valheim, apart from player characters being blood-sucking vampires, is that it’s locked to an isometric view, which is quite rare in survival MMOs. Players compete for resources, including blood from humans, build their own Dracula-worthy castles, take on world bosses, and even each other on servers that can have as many as 50 players at a time.
“Awaken as a weakened vampire after centuries of slumber. Hunt for blood to regain your strength while hiding from the scorching sun to survive. Rebuild your castle and convert humans into your loyal servants in a quest to raise your vampire empire. Make allies or enemies online or play solo locally, fend off holy soldiers, and wage war in a world of conflict.”
V Rising is now the 7th most-played game on Steam and is available on the platform for $19.99.
